No client has proved too big or too small and all get the Interport team’s full focus and attention. Interport has many long standing relationships with clients spanning 30 and 40 years. Whilst the industry has changed significantly since Interport first opened its doors in 1960, what has not changed is the quality personal service that Interport has always regarded as its family company hallmark.

David Goodwin

David was a chartered accountant who got involved in Interport Cargo in 2006 and has overseen Interport’s expansion into the most modern and fastest depot in Brisbane. David was the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Queensland, a board member of both the Australian Chamber of Commerce and the International Chamber of Commerce for Australia. David brings a commercial skill set that has driven further service lines in the best interest of Interport Cargo customers.

Interport Cargo Services commenced operations in July 1960 with a Customs Brokerage in Brisbane, based in Wharf Street. Since then it has grown to facilities in Newstead, Hamilton, Northgate and in September 2008 all operations were merged into one large facility in Lytton based near the Port of Brisbane.

The transition to the new facilities has allowed Interport Cargo Services to re-engage with larger capacity into the market place as evidenced by significant growth.

Interport Cargo Services has grown from humble beginnings into a full serviced depot servicing mainly the Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage Industry. Interport has a 13,000m2 facility right in the port precinct which has both 77 and 79 bond licenses. Further it has a 1.1 category AQIS accreditation along with two 42x13m wash-pads. With high roof clearance and extensive pallet racking spaces Interport Cargo Services also provides a co-located very capable bonded 3pl storage and warehouse solution to many of its clients.

With a private family company philosophy Interport values customers for the long term.
